Training log - Week ending 2/2/2020

This week was 56 miles of running, 27 "miles" of pool-running, and 1000 yards swimming -- training log is here.

This was the week it felt like my fitness really came back.  I'm not where I was last fall, but I'm not far off.  As recently as last week, it felt like I was running out of time to get in shape before I started tapering.  Now?  I'm thinking we're hitting this one exactly right.  I'm in a good place with 4 weeks to go.  I'm tired, but hitting paces faster than I expect in my workouts.  (and I'm not battling insomnia, which is always my best indication that I'm overdoing stuff).

So the plan now is to land the marathon cycle plane safely.  I'm not shutting stuff down, but I'm not taking any risks.  I just need to maintain this fitness until race day.
