Training log - Week ending 1/19/2020

This week was 44 miles of running, 12 "miles" of pool-running, and 500 yards swimming -- training log is here.

Just a placeholder for race week.


Monday:  Upper body weights, core, and 6 "miles" pool-running. Foam rolling at night.

Tuesday: 11 miles, including a track workout of 1600, 3x800 in 6:12, 3:01, 3:00, 2:59.  Recovery was 4:50 after the 1600, and 2:41 and 2:31 after the 800s.  Followed with leg prevention work, 500 yards recovery swimming.  Sports massage in afternoon.

Wednesday: 7 miles very easy (9:22), drills and strides, and DIY yoga.  Foam rolling at night.

ThursdayLight upper body weights, core, DIY yoga, and 6 "miles" pool-running. Foam rolling at night.

Friday:  7 miles, including 1600m uptempo in 6:22, followed by DIY yoga.

Saturday: DIY yoga and 2 miles very easy (9:30)

Sunday: 3.5 miles warm-up, half-marathon in 1:25:32, and then short cooldown.
